new goodman A/C building block is changing / osciallting lover hie from low to shrill
Just had a new 14 seer goodman (stock split system GSX140601, GMH81205D , aspen handbuild) installed last night to replace a 19 yr old trane unit. It is chilling in truth well however I have noticed that the cetacean mammal focal ratio speeds up for a bit (30secs - 2 mins) and so slows downcast for about the unvaried amount of time. Its fairly random. The condenser outside does not appear to be changing fan speed.
This is a "multi speed" unit merely I thought that meant that the Ac blower speed was X and the furnace speed was Y. Is this typical for new 410 based units?
I looked around a moment and IT looks like variable blower speeds give the axe atomic number 4 an indicator of a penitent causative, electrical issue, capacitor, etc. Could it be an install issue?
I lack to educate myself before I talk to my installer again since this was a big purchase for me.

call instalmen company back unless you installed which would mean solar time to take up.

It's busted. Call the installer

The only time you should notice the blower fan ever-changing speeds from low to high swiftness is during heating. When your furnace is running on low flak it will unravel at a lour steady RPM, once it kicks to high fire the blower rooter will run at a higher RPM.
That model furnace has a multi speed blower motor. The web website says 4 speeds, ( probably in the line of low, medium Sir David Low, medium, high ) it's not a ECM variable or EEM (Get-up-and-go Efficient Motor )

You can read up more or less your furnace.
Make a point you registry your organization to receive the uttermost manufacturer warranty, A if it's not registered your manufacturer warranty will be cold shoulder in half. You have an excellent furnace warranty.
If you reside in California or Quebec online enrollment is not required to receive the manufacturing business maximum warranty.

If you have a changeable speed motor depending on what profile you use, you can have one to tercet fan speeds.
Profile D has three speeds
Profile A has unmatched

Thanks for all the replies. IT sounds like this is not normal. Hopefully my company can enter it out.

The newer boards will melt down high speed until cool is satisfied and then take to the woods for 1 to 2 at med or low speed.
Your installer inevitably to read up on the 50m56 board and its demeanour.
Speaking most multispeed boards.

Just an update to this for anyone that is trenchant for this issue. The company ended up replacing the control board and the behavior was the same. He past hardwired it to lead at the unit of measurement and that worked. He then did the hardwire at the thermostat and IT worked again with no issues. That pretty much pointed the issue to the thermostat. Replaced my nestle thermostat with a standard social unit and everything worked superfine. Later calling nestle support they suggested adding a joint wire and that resolved the issue.
